Register for news updatesPedestrian Bridge Over Gardiners Creek Re-opened
The pedestrian bridge across Gardiners Creek on the Outer Circle Rail Trail has been closed for safety reasons for more than a year. The Stonnington Council has spent $92,000 to repair it. However, the surface remains the same, and it is evident that the money has been spent on the foundations.
The trail was effectively cut in two by the closure, and complicated detours were necessary.
Bicycle riders and pedestrians alike will be pleased that it is now in service.
