Update: as of 25 January 2026, Cycle Dindi 26 has been postponed due to damage to the Great Victorian Rail Trail (GVRT). We encourage supporters to get on board when a new date is announced to help this region recover from the devastating bushfires in early 2026. RTA will publicise the new date when it is announced.
Get ready to ride the GVRT on Saturday 14 March when Cycle Dindi 26 returns for the nineth time. This popular, fully-supported, family-friendly ride welcomes cyclists of all ages and abilities to enjoy the beauty of the GVRT.
With the choice of 3 starting locations at Yea, Alexandra or Yarck, riders can choose the ride and distance that best suits them before converging on Cathkin to enjoy a BBQ lunch beside the picturesque Goulburn River. Take the opportunity to unwind whilst enjoying the live music before beginning the return ride.
Gentle gradients make it suitable for most ages and fitness levels as the rail trail traverses rolling hills with stunning views. Just an hour’s drive from Melbourne, the Yea option includes the opportunity to experience the iconic Cheviot Tunnel and enjoy light refreshments.
Organised by the Rotary Clubs of Yea and Alexandra, monies raised will be used to support a variety of youth projects in the area.
