Did you know that in 2014, Australia had 2116 km of rail trails open and today there’s 3180 km? It’s just one of the interesting facts in the latest edition of RTA’s Connections magazine.
In an article titled How Old Are We? we explore the 30+ years of RTA with a focus on the highlights since our 21st birthday – including the establishment of Rail Trails Regional Reps throughout the country, RTA’s website – which gives anyone access to rail trail maps (live) and rail trail descriptions – and watching rail trails being promoted widely as tourist destinations.
