Register for news updatesO’Keefe Rail Trail Facilities Upgrade and Customer Feedback
The City of Greater Bendigo will shortly commence a project to construct and install public toilets, bike hoops, new parking area for up to 16 vehicles and an improved entrance to the Peppercorn Park which is situated off Longlea Lane west of Axedale.
The $255,000 project is being funded by Council with a contribution from the Friends of the Bendigo Kilmore Rail Trail. In summary, the project will increase accessibility and public safety as well as improving the infrastructure in order to attract more people to the trail. Off grid services will be utilised in this project to create a sustainable feature of the popular trail.
Works are expected to commence shortly and be completed by the end of July. The trail will remain open during the project with directional signage as required which users will be expected to follow.

The City of Greater Bendigo is also inviting visitors to the O’Keefe Rail Trail for feedback to assist them for future planning and improvements to the trail, as well as gathering valuable demographic, economic and tourism data. The link to the survey can be found HERE
