Around 100 cyclists of various ages enjoyed a family friendly bike ride along the Great Victorian Rail Trail (GVRT) from Mansfield to Maindample or Bonnie Doon and return on Sunday 13 March 2022.
Organised by the ‘Friends of the GVRT’, Tour de Trail is a non-competitive out-and-back bike ride designed to provide the opportunity for families and cyclists of all ages to enjoy a safe cycling environment while contributing to our community’s health and wellbeing.
At Maindample and Bonnie Doon, a coffee van provided riders with a coffee or cold drink along with a freshly cooked muffin before beginning their return journey to Mansfield.
On returning to Mansfield, they were greeted by live music from Marty Jones while enjoying a sausage sizzle by ‘A Third Hand’ community group and a delicious ice cream from the ‘Little Ice Creamery’ van.
