One day I rode south to Kingaroy & back. The next I rode 40km north through Goomeri & back. Thoroughly enjoyed both trips even with the uncultured surface to the north. It's a good surface if a little rough at times. Good cafes & supplies available as well. Quite a few Magpie swoops.

Whilst I'm concerned about the condition of the trail, my husband and I are planning to ride the full length of the trail in September, weather conditions being favourable. I hope we can make it through to Kilkivan safely. We look forward to experiencing everything the area has to offer.

In October I will be cycling the BVRT, the Link Trail and the Southern end of the South Burnett Rail Trail, yerminating Murgon. As a Senior travelling alone I believe that it is not safe or advisable to do the section to Kilkivan for the reasons outlined in the meeting.. and I find this disappointing. Now only am I missing out on the complete experience but the businesses in those towns ares missing my small contribution in food, accommodation etc. I don't expect the Murgon to Kingaroy paved experience but I do need safety for me guys my bike – things that reviews indicate are currently missing.
