Had a great ride out and back yesterday, even though it was quite warm!
Make sure you have some sort of headlight for the 500m long Burringbar Range Tunnel.

A great summary of a great day.To clarify though:it is the Northern Rivers Joint Organisation (of all five loca councils) that has received the funding for a study and business case for completing the rail trail between Eltham amd Wooyong, lncluding an on-road and path link to Ballina amd Lennox Head.
Also worth noting, the first Cycling Without Age triahaw passenger on the rail trail was Margo Anthony, the widow of former local member amd Deputy Prime Minister, Doug Anthony, who wasa keen commuter cyclist in Canberra, a strong supporter of the building of the cycling infrastructure there, and Patron of the Northern Rivers Rail Trail.

Really looking forward to riding this trail next week. Wonderful to have this kind of experience nearby rather than having to travel many hundreds of kilometres either up to the BVRT or down to Victoria.
